The Odessa Opera Theatre is one of the greatest architectural monuments in Ukraine and one of the most beautiful theatres in the world. The theatre has the Italian facade in a Baroque taste, the entrance which is executed in the Renaissance style decorated by statues of Aristofana and Evrepidy. Its portal is decorated by the sculptural groups that allegorically represent muses — patronesses of theatre, music, dance, a comedy and tragedy., Orfej playing the music and cherubs who dance and sing. Here there are bustsof Pushkin, Gogol, Griboedov and Glinka which as though represent poetry, a comedy, a drama and music.
